I’m still wondering which elements will be refurbished – away. Granted both lounges are tired and very tatty – personally, I think a good shampoo of the carpets, some new furniture, but – most of all – enhancement to the actual range of food and drink on offer would make a huge difference.

I hate this, especially when it's other customers and the native language in question is American... :)

I assume nobody has been in the newly reopened T3 AA F lounge today?

I would prefer it to be in English as at least I can at least snoop in on the conversation. Unless we are in the local country of the nationality. .

I’m flying soon in BA Club from LHR T3 (no status). I am aware which lounges are available. I also hold Amex Plat.
We are a party of vegetarians and vegans. Which ones have the best vegan food for a 1pm flight? |
There is usually something vegan at each place, and some more than others. I suspect the amex lounge would be the best across the board, but not sure of guesting status now, I got the impression that the US based amex card holders had their guests curtailed, but perhaps not the brits.

We are a party of vegetarians and vegans. Which ones have the best vegan food for a 1pm flight? CX is quite ok. Their “vegetarian” dumplings are vegan. You have to ask them for only veg dumplings and the chefs are usually happy to confirm that items are vegan too (usually easiest to ask if they contain egg, milk, meat or fish - sometimes people refuse to label things as vegan if the packaging doesn’t say it). The soup is usually vegan too. Haven’t been at the QF & AA lounges myself in years I don’t know how their offerings are now but the QF lounge had a tendency to add bits and pieces of cheese or bacon into otherwise vegan foods 5 or so years ago but I still usually managed to find something. I never liked the AA lounge and apart from walking in once for 5 minutes I have no idea what they are serving. |

I have looked through the guide at the top and the rest of this thread, but would like suggestions as to which lounge might be the best place to catch a nap. I cannot sleep on planes and will soon find myself in T3 with a 5h+ layover on my way from Texas to Sweden.
No worries, I do not plan to lay down on a sofa or take my shoes off :P Thank you in advance for your expert input. LcS |
The Cathay First lounge is quite good for a light nap. Plenty of photos on Google Images too.
