Christmas HEX services

Worthwhile remembering the following:

Today the HEX will finish early (1610 from Paddington, 1642 from T5) this is caused by Crossrail works. There'll still be a 15 minute transfer train between T123 and T4/T5.

Christmas and Boxing Day (25/26 Dec) - No service all day, also the same on the Connect and most National Rail.

27 December - half hourly service also due to Crossrail. Services will start later 11:01 out of Paddington.

28 December - early morning services are running half hourly. Oddly enough, the trains alternate between T4 and T5 meaning these ones are only served hourly until the normal 15 minute service is resumed at 08:55.

29 - 30 December, services are half hourly all day, but unlike the 28th all terminate at T5.

I advise you use the TFL journeyplanner to find the best route, as it will show whether the tube or the limited HEX service will be quicker for you.

If you're travelling the 25/26 December then a taxi or private hire service makes a lot of sense.

That we don't have the ability to lay/improve tracks while simultaneously having trains run over them?

Piccadilly Line will be jammed coming into the city as the trains will be stopping at some District Line stops (parts of the District and Circle lines will be down for scheduled works next week).
