Why is A320 G-EUUS @ LGW ?

So, according to thebasource.com:

British Airways A320 G-EUUS Positions to Gatwick Base.
August 1, 2014

British Airways A320 G-EUUS positioned London Heathrow – London Gatwick this evening as BA9270.
However since Friday evening I can't see that she's flown any sectors according to that site and also fr24!

So, was she needed and went tech ? Are they doing some sort of A320 MX at gatters like they did the 321s and 767s ?

Just curious !

Assuming this was the shiny white A320 (like G-EUUS is, #geek), it was parked outside the BA hangar with steps at the rear door and was still in situ when I landed tonight.

Thank you oh wise one !

That was my first thought as BA maintenence LGW handled the 763 interiors.

I remember asking the question previously about where this work would take place and don't remember an answer so I'm glad you have managed to answer the question, also glad that the work is being done at gatters.

Mind you, might of made sense to start work on the LGW based A320s

It's interesting that they've chosen 3 aircraft with the Pinnacle interiors (ie. the 2013 latest interiors prior to the 2014 refresh) to be refurbished first.

Only G-EUUS currently has the original Convertible interiors.

Possibly recycling/reusing the newest (and presumably in best condition) seats?

I would have thought the refurb would occur at the same time that the aircraft was grounded for some other sort of maintenance, like a B-check? Otherwise that's an inefficient use of their fleet.

Seems the refurb work on EUUS has been completed and she is now operating ex LGW while A319 G-DBCE has moved back from gatters to LHR.
