So I tend to do live TRs, and I will ask the mods to leave it in the BA forum until the trip is complete. Then it should rightly be moved into the correct forum for posterity.

I appreciate you can get compact cameras of course, but I've always preferred using a DSLR.

My advice based on experience recently is to ask the mods to leave your TR in the BA forum for a short while and then ask them to move it to the general TR forum. If you start it in the general TR forum you won't get anywhere near as many people interacting with you, and they won't necessarily have a BA interest.

I used to advocate this. But the iPhone 5s has completely changed my view on the subject. I know I can get better pictures using my Nikon D300s, but the difference is very small these days, especially for photos published online.
