How accurate is ExpertFlyer & BA Seat Map
Wife and I are flying LAX>LHR in CW on the A380 in May. Both ExpertFlyer and the BA seat map show basically all upstairs window seats are taken except for two seats. We prefer to sit upstairs and not in the middle. Should I reserve the seats or general do things open up as you get closer to the flight and then a T-24 HRS when we check in there is plenty of room....
Thanks for any insight.

I suspect most of these seats have already been taken. There will be some shuffling around as people change their plans, but don't count on the seats you really want opening up. I would select seats now (I don't know if you have status or need to pay for this) rather than hope for the best at T-24. (Unless you prefer to sit far away from your wife of course!)

BA does sometimes hide seats from the seat map - but in my experience this tends to be where they expect to have to manage a group seating allocation or expect lots of families with kids (Bucket and Spade routes generally ex-LGW)
If you have a 380 to LAX, I expect that the window seats are allocated because they're already reserved by those who can / have chosen to pay. I'd get in quick if a window seat is important to you both. Wouldn't you prefer to be next to each other (i.e. one in the window and one in the next seat??)
