Collecting Avios on US Airways ?
If I book - before 31 March - a US Airways operated flight (departing on 31 March / returning 2 April ) on an AA flight number will I receive Avios / TPs ? Can I use BA/AA/OW lounges (travelling biz, GCH) ?
I appreciate any advice. Thank you

US Airways joins OneWorld on 31 March. So from that date you should earn avios/TP's. Date flight is booked is irrelevant. But keep your physical boarding pass. You could book the US Airways flight number.

As previously mentioned, US joins OneWorld on 3/31. I doubt BA will have US flights available for booking prior to that date.

On a related note, I am flying to HKG from DCA with CX via ORD, departing Mar 27. I just noticed the DCA-ORD leg is US Airways instead of AA. Will I be able to claim Avios for the outbound flight to ORD?

As US will not be a member of oneworld on 27MAR I doubt that you will receive avios for that segment.

I hope they are the same as AA as well. I have a fair few GLA-PHL returns booked up over the summer and autumn months.

BA.com can't handle it just now but the call-centre can. All US flights have AA flight numbers too so my DUB-PHL-PHX-HNL-LAX-CLT-DUB booking is on 125 stock but AA flight nos, all op by US (except HNL-LAX)
