Tube Strike late on 4 Feb to 6 Feb - no service from central London to LHR
It's also mentioned in the UK & Ireland forum, but heads up that there will be tube services on core parts of many lines from late on 4 February to close of service on 6 February.
The latest release from TfL states:
Piccadilly line
No service would operate through the central area. We intend to run trains
I'm normally optomistic that strikes will get called off, but this time I think it will go ahead

The last major one got called off, so I too am hopeful that this one will too.
I just forwarded my wife the TfL e-mail I received. She has to commute from our place in
Bow to Camden. It might make for a long day!

This one, about closing ticket offices, is more serious/important for both sides and I don't see that either will back down too easily.
I'll have a bit of a planes, trains and automobiles commute if it goes ahead (although there is a bus from where I work to where I live I can imagine it will be rammed).

I really wish rather than strike they would just refuse to check tickets or take payment and open the barriers. This would affect the bosses but get the public more onside. when I lived in London and there was a tube strike it really pi55ed me off!!

.....and if past strikes are anything to go by, there's a risk it may only run to Tower Gateway/Shadwell, as Bank is a LU station and in the past it has had to close due to lack of cover/overcrowding.

I used to commute in reverse Camden to Bethal Green. Used Overground from Camden Rd - Shoreditch which is a doddle, and not on strike. Short hop to Bow? Sure you know this anyway, but just in case!

I am travelling into Central London (on the A4 near Harrods but within the congestion charging zone) on the 5th but by a fluke had already booked a hire car for the day. However I am now a little concerned about what affect this might have on traffic? Any locals care to speculate?

I had to spend some time originally studying the map + email to figure it out. My journey effectively has 1/10th the usual frequency, deciding whether to chance it or wfh.

Good to see Bob Crow has been getting relaxed prior to this latest action. The poor overworked and underpaid boy.
