Contact BAEC by phone
Hi everyone!
I’m an avid reader of the forum, and first time poster... and have a short question!
UuA seats (only 2) seem to have opened up for my flight next week, and I need to call BAEC to book it since I can’t do it on ba.com (multi-city booking). Am I allowed to call the UK number knowing my account is EU based? I thought I read somewhere that EU accounts should always ring the EU call centre…
This would be annoying since it’s closed during the weekend, and I might miss out on the upgrade if I have to wait until Monday morning.
Thanks

This is a frequent problem. Try calling but don't expect anything. I believe the rules are that the ticketing must be done where your account is based. If that is mainland EU like mine, then as you say, you have no chance till Monday. A sad situation for a global enterprise that is deliberately opening award availability late. I have in the past called the gold line in the UK, had the upgraded seat reserved and called Bremen the following Monday for ticketing. However, that was only once and a subsequent attempt of mine to do the same failed.
