777 - IFE
Booked on LHR- DEL, BA 143, 4th.April, return BOM-LHR, BA198, 18th. April. When I check the planned IFE I discover there is a far wider choice on the LHR-DEL than on the return; in fact there are twice as many films available. Any idea why this might be?

Some aircraft have got the Thales system fitted which is really good. Maybe the aircraft you are on to DEL has the Thales system fitted and the other one does not. The new 777-300 have it fitted, so too do the refurbed 777-200s and the mid haul 321s.

Not necessarily. There are still 2 G-VII* aircraft that do not have AVOD, and 2 G-ZZZ* aircraft.
The G-ZZZ* aircraft would not operate a BOM flight, so you have 2 aircraft that could potentially operate your return flight without AVOD.
All other BA longhaul aircraft have AVOD (either Thales [A321/77W/refurbished 772] or Rockwell Collins [744, 763, non-refurbished 772])
