Old-Style Companion Tickets?

Folks,

I used to use the old Chase 2-for-1 ticket deal for buying full-fare companion tickets on BA. This worked for me because we usually needed the flexibility of a full fare and Avios redemption availability for SFO->LHR is, um, *horrible*.

As far as I can see, the Chase BA Visa card only offers Avios redemption certificates now (based on the $30K spend). Does anyone know whether other credit cards offer full-fare companion tickets on BA these days? I've seen google references to Carte Blanche (and I'd consider a card just for this) but I wanted to ask here before digging around some more.

Cheers!

Scott...

Haven't seen the chase offer in some time:

As mentioned in the thread some Amex's used to offer a similar benefit (in some cases, iirc, not tied to a specific airline).
