Seat selection on BMI operated BA flights

Having mixed luck with preassigned seats on BD operated BA numbered flights.

Seats chosen through MMB, at check in (no OLCI) often different seat assigned. Is this other peoples experience as well - or should I worry

Maybe an aircraft change? They have a couple of different configurations on the same type of aircraft.

I've only selected in MMB and OLCI, so I can't say for sure.

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned once or twice before.

I thought it had but wondered if it is spasmodic or at certain stations and linked to the problem of OLCI not being available

I had this experience as well, and it was certainly not an equipment change at all.

I should add, bmi staff at MAN were excellent and outshone the BA (Menzies) employee who rudely told me I was at the wrong desk when I arrived to check-in - I had not realised the check-in at MAN was separate for BA flights operated by bmi.

Lounge was also excellent compared to the BA lounge that I always find a bit of a greenhouse. Sadly, I was told it too was to be closed.

Always happens on DME flights with or without equipment change. Though they do block the seat next to you if space, so when on own in business it's quite pleasant.
