Quickest way to earn 1 avios without flying?

Well, what is the quickest way to earn 1 avios with either Avios or BAEC without taking a flight.

You need to earn at least 1 avios in the last year in order to enable 'reward flight saver' flights. Points from e-stores (e.g. ebay) say they take up to '35 days' to credit. But how long do these usually take to come through realistically?

Argos seems to be quick. John Lewis seems to be slow.

Travelex seems to post pretty quickly. Min transaction £50 IIRC, but you can sell straight back, at a cost of the transaction fee(s), if you don't actually need the FX.

When you say argos is fast, is that like in terms of weeks, or 1 - 2 days?

Quickest and most reliable: buy a 1000 from BA. Instant.

After that, a conversions in from another scheme:
e.g. Amex Membership Rewards Points,
Tesco Clubcard (if you have vouchers already),
or from BAA world points,
or a hotel loyalty scheme conversion, etc.
These can be anything from a few hours (if lucky) to a few days, or to a week at most.

The trouble with the eStore is that it can be slow and can be unreliable, if it fails to track etc, you would need to raise a claim, etc.
