Redemption
Greetings from Canada!
So I'm getting a bit ticked off with redeeming Aeroplan (Air Canada) points. Trying to book a ticket from Sydney to Australia, even 365 days out, shows 0 J seats.
A credit card company here offers the ability to earn Avios points, and the redemption points are much less than Aeroplan for the same route.
Is it still so hard to book for you guys? Maybe a seat in J on every flight or is it quite easy to get on as long as you have the points?
Thank you

also from canada with BA i guess you would need 3 flights. ans would need to redeem avios for each segment, so around 150k per person each way i think for a J ticket. (not exactly sure!)

Availability varies by route. SYD is known for poor availability (although should be possible booking the maximum amount in advance).
You could use your Avios on CX, for example: JFK via HKG to SYD.
Avios BA longhaul and partner redemptions do have taxes, fees and surcharges added on, so your 'free' business class flight could easily cost several hundred £s.
