Transfer Amex Points to BA Prevent Miles from Expiring?

Hi - I have three questions, my miles I think will expire soon.

1) Will taking advantage of the 30% Amex transfer bonus for BA points prevent my miles from expiring?

2) Does anyone know if these Amex bonus are a one time thing? Right now they have a 30% one, I just want to transfer like 1000 points to prevent expiration.

3) Is there any transfer fee associated?

Anyone who could assist, I would appreciate the response.

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure, but I'll give my thoughts on this as best as I can.

1. I was under the impression that any activity on your account will stop your miles/Avios from expiring, therefore a transfer should work in that respect.

2. These offers don't occur all of the time as far as I know. There might be transfer limits too, forcing you to transfer a minimum amount, worth checking.

3. Don't know, sorry.

This is what the T&C's say:

Your Avios points stay with you as long as you collect, spend, purchase or share at least one Avios every 36 months — any longer and your Avios will expire and be removed, so remember to take action before those three years are up.

There are lots of simple ways to ensure you'll never lose the Avios you collect.

Ways to collect Avios

Fly with us or one of our partner airlines
Stay in a hotel or book a holiday
Rent a car
Use a British Airways credit card or shop with our many partners

Ways to spend Avios

Book a reward flight with Avios
Book a reward flight with Avios & Money
Upgrade using Avios
Book a hotel or car rental with Avios

Learn more about spending Avios
Purchase Avios

You can buy between 1,000 and 24,000 Avios each calendar year for yourself or a friend. Buying Avios will reset the 36-month period for the person receiving the Avios only.

Share Avios

You can transfer up to 19,000 Avios to another Club member each calendar year. Transferring Avios will reset the 36-month period for both the person sending and the person receiving the Avios.

I DO NOT see that a transfer to or from AMEX will do it, but?????????????
