Redemption routing question

I was wondering if anyone can answer this for me.

I'm looking to do a miles only redemption (so no AMEX 2-4-1 restrictions on BA only metal). If theres a lack of availablity on the route and dates i'm looking for, do i have the option of asking BA to route me via another city and onwards on a partner? I'm looking to go LHR-LAS in business (or possibly first). There's a couple of seats left in F, but zero for weeks either side in J, so if i found another US destination with conencting AA flights to LAS, is this allowed?

So long as you only use BA and one partner, yes. Pure miles bookings offer tonnes of flexibility with stopovers and routing.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.601 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/417)

I would look for award seats (on AA or BA) between LHR and LAX, DFW, and ORD. AA offers nonstop service between each of those cities and LAS.
