An “official POUG” is defined (for the purposes of this wiki) as the rate that appears in red on the MMB/BA app. It is NOT the rate offered at the airport (please see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...ng-thread.html), or the rate offered when you click on the “Upgrade my class of travel with money” link from within MMB, or the “Upgrade to the next available cabin” blue/grey banner in the app.
Please add to this list as required, and include the month/year when the POUG is offered to you.

Save your boarding pass!!
Of course if you are on a redemption you get nothing or on Avios upgraded ticket you get nothing extra above the cash element of the ticket you paid for.

Not a POUG as such, but AUP for LHR -DXP WT-WT+ for £209.
Seems to have gone up quite a bit from last time I did it.

Ive got a question....
If I've checked online but want to pay for an upgrade can I still change it over the phone or the airport only now? It's from CW to F.
Many thanks!!

Not necessarily true of course (in relation to avios upgraded tickets), as has been discussed on here before - but certainly don't expect to get the full points

LGW/JER proactive upgrade
Off shortly (weather permitting) on a short jaunt to this lovely island: Mrs Kipper 40 points adrift from retaining silver. I've been hanging on for the offer, but zilch so far.
I did read that this may be because of the "sale" - can anyone advise me on
1) likelihood of POAG being offered
2) what it usually costs (per leg) - I've a feeling it's about £60.
Otherwise I'll have to stump up £140 or so......

Got a trip to madrid in April. Booked in Y for£210 for me and the wife.
Been offered £79 each way per person upgrade to CE total upgrade cost £318.
I really cannot justify paying the above especially as wife has CX gold via Amex plat.
Booked exit rows in both directions and have lounge access.
Rather book another weekend trip elsewhere.

LHR-FRA-LHR booked in Q class thru company travel agent todat. £173.85 inc tax.
Online upgrade to Club offer showed for £69 each way once etickets issued.
This was a calculated risk as I specifically chose flights with I class availability in the hope this opportunity would present itself. Gladly expensed the £138 extra onto my company credit card and the eticket was subsequently reissued. I now have a Club return ticket (all be it no changes/no refunds but then again neither was my Economy ticket... all for £312.00). Lowest Club fare without a Saturday night away is £668 so all in all a saving of £356.00. Tier points are the goal to this excercise in the vain attempt to hold onto my gold for another year.... 10 months to renewal but already planning ahead.

This is not recent but I did LHR-HEL-LHR on 08/09 Nov 2012. Outward was on Finnair and it showed £400 odd for business class upgrade. But the return was with BA and POUG gave me £89 which I gladly took. Don't know if I paid too much but I was happy as it was close to 3 hour flight. Also the 80 TP are a welcome too.
Edit: just to clarify that I didn't opt to upgrade the outward leg. £400+ is too much. Just upgraded the return with £89.
