Hello again.

Have now confirmed seat 64K :)

Chiro

Very happy for you!

But how so - are you full fare (as suggested by Lobengula - I forgot about that!) or do you have status you've been hiding until now?

Hey. Newbie here and have decided to try BA for my flight to LAX this coming wed in CW.

At the moment there are 14 avaliable seats in upper deck and should I pay extra to reserve 64A, I'm 6'4", or is that a misstake with regards to possibility of an infant coming along and move me?( ie will the money I spend on reserving the seat be forefi if I'm moved)

Or if I shoud wait for OLCI since I'm flying CPH-LHR and can do the OLCI 28 hrs before the rest on the LHR-LAX flight?

Chiro

Welcome to FT.

Good morning.

Yes I paid for the ticket :) So have understood thats why I could do the reservation 72 hours before and pay extra. But soon silver after my next trip to Colorado in jun.

Looking forward to 64K :)

seating question

Am I right in thinking that 4E&F in a 3 class LGW 777 (that look like they're up against the bulkhead) have direct access to the aisle without climbing over anyone's feet? Mrs pfd has short legs and doesn't want to get trapped!!

Yes they may have. Before you pay to reserve them though you should be aware that the aircraft config may change at T-24 and a row 5 may appear .

Can I help you Mar 8, 2010 9:56 am

LGW has two 3 class 777's with row 5, one is always on the MLE route and the other one could turn up on any of the other 3 class routes. You will not know this until OLCI opens.

And even on this route Expertflyer (and I assume BA's seat map) shows it with only rows 1-4. Does that mean that row 5 will always be available for free at T-24 and that anyone who has paid for row 4 on the assumption that it will be "easy access" is in for a nasty shock.

Think if you're seeing 4E&F it must be one of the YMM* aircraft (ie. one of the ones with row 5). On the VII* aircraft there are no centre seats in row 4, row 3 is the last row of the forward CW cabin.

Where are you travelling to? MLE or SSH?
Of the other routes that get the YMM* aircraft, it tends to be TPA, KIN, MBJ, ANU and PUY (on Sundays and Mondays)

And UVF - I sat in 5A from UVF to LGW last month.

How many pairs of seats were left at OLCI?

UVF saw quite a lot of YMM* in February. The 20 round trips were as follows:

40J 13
48J 6
4-class(!) 1

How do revenue management cope when they don't know until T-24 how many J seats there are?
