And BBC. All we need now is Fox to confirm it is true.

I won't believe it until I read it in the Daily Mail.

And sadly it will make no difference at all. BASSA will put a ridiculous spin on it (probably something to do with WWII), find new grounds for the strike (it probably had nothing to do with the matter at hand anyways) and the lemmings will continue to march to the edge.

I think i read somewhere that both sides agreed in advance to pay their own court costs, no matter the result.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/120 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.1)

In theory BA should be entitled to make a claim for about 70% of its costs if it chooses to do so.

I find it difficult to believe that EITHER side wuld have agreed to that. BOTH were certain of winning.

And if the total costs are in the region of £3-£5m does BASSA have the funds or will they have to call in a special charge on members?

It will also be interesting to see what is often called the "chicken gap" ie the difference between the number of yes voters and the number of actual strikers. Strikers appear to have even more to lose as a result of this failed action and the punitive action BA may take against strikers.

Strikers will be hit by BASSA for funds and by BA for striking. Not a nice situation and I genuinely feel for CC in this predicament.
