Given online it says "Your booking must include a minimum of 2 passengers per companion eVoucher you wish to use. Please reselect the number of passengers." I think you got very lucky with an agent!

I agree, for an online booking, there are certain limitations in place. That’s why I made sure to follow the instructions provided in the terms, regarding a total of 3 passengers, which led me to contact the service center. This was the case for both flights, and separate agents handled these bookings on consecutive days.

The pre-award release conversation I had with the first agent was probably the luckiest part due to the initial push back by the booking agent.
