Last year I booked two QFF award redemptions for MEL - SYD - JNB - LHR in F so have been keeping an eye on this route in case I need to change my July 29th date. Naturally the JNB - LHR segment is on BA metal.
Looking at award redemption in the QF booking engine I can see a lot open for JNB - LHR for two people in all classes from January onwards. After the World Cup there is a flight almost every day with Mon, Tue, Wed open in all classes.
Not sure why these seats cannot be seen through ba.com?
Jase.

First time I went in with June/July/August - I get the, no flights available.
Second time I queried, the dates you mentioned above all appear!

In case this helps, Iberia will be adding flights you could use. Once they get into the system (if they haven't already), there will be a short time where new partner awards are available.

I've snagged a couple of WTP seats LHR - JNB using a voucher for dates over the Feb 2011 half-term and am hoping that two more on the same flights might open up, but a scout around makes it look as though there are only ever two WTP seats made available on any one flight. Can anyone confirm my suspicion: I shall pony up for the other two seats if I have to - the premium seems worth it as compared to WT - but will wait until my new AMEX year kicks in in early July before doing so: the bottom line; am I wasting my time with my daily 6am checks for more seats on the flight in question?
Thanks.
Thanks.
