3 Jun : EDI lounge temporary closure


Directed to use aspire lounge.

Not sure why, staff in aspire lounge not sure why either.

Closed due to flooding as advised by check in agents. Not sure when will be re opened

Somebody at least seems to have been proactive and arranged two alternatives. Thats pretty impressive I think. Perhaps its a contingency plan permanently in place? Out of interest are they the screen they normally use to put round dead bodies?

No, the screens they use for that are usually green.

Good that they have contingency in place. Is flooding more likely in this lounge than other spots in the airport?.

This was the arrangement when the lounge closed for a few weeks in December, so hopefully they've kept the contract in place. The air con in there was bust for months over the summer and it is (I think) one of the oldest bits of the terminal so it may be that a lot of the building services are coming to the end of their natural life.
