The specifics depend on the exact aircraft but the answer is yes, they do have more legroom. You also cant be asked to put any bags beneath the seat in front of you so that also contributes to additional space.

If you require further info on your specific flight, if you can provise the date, flight number and what aircraft variant it is, A320, A321 etc, someone will most likely post a link to the seat map.

If it is a 321 CEO (exit rows 10, 23, 24) then note that in row 24, the extra legroom is only true of the window seats (A and F).
I recommend a look at Prospero's excellent work on Aerolopa for detailed seatmaps. If you do a search, you'll also find a few thread discussing the cabin and best/worst seats on the 321 in our forum which may be useful.

Looks to be fairly full in the exit rows Blue squares are seats already booked and the crosses are blocked seats due to theoretical seating etc
Can't remember, but the two seats in exit row 26, might just be normal pitch. But if your friend took seat B they have no seat next to them, so could stretch their legs out into the empty space

The front exit row on a ceo (10) is also good. Less good (but still some extra legroom) on the neo (16).

Seat 24A I think.but this is a 321ceo. But row 27 on neo has similar room but this seat has been taken, but does show the space available
(Edit. But the 321 neo could have a rear facing crew jump seat in the empty space, so on take off and landing, you might be playing footsie with a member of the cabin crew.)

Not all exit rows are created equal. On LCA, BA often uses a 321 NEO (exit rows 16, 26, and 27). In that case, 26 is "designated" as exit but has no extra legroom and certainly not any major advantage bar the fact there are only two seats so if two of you are travelling you will have no unknown neighbour. 27 has a lot more legroom than 16, but also note that as both exit rows are in the "back" part of the plane, they all have the thin, non reclining seats, so what you gain in legroom you might lose elsewhere (in my view, if you care about leg room, 27 is definitely worth the tradeoff, but 16 would not be).

Can anyone confirm how much extra room row 10 has if the exit rows are 10, 23 and 24? Presumably nothing like 23, but still adequate to stretch ones legs if of medium height? As good as row 12 on a 320?
