People sleeping in the lounge..

I'm currently at T5 Galleries lounge and there are several people spread out on the 3 seaters with thier feet up sleeping. Is this acceptable behaviour and what would you do in this situation if these are the only free seats.

You could always ask the chap in the lounge who is usually talking loudly into their phone if he can wake them up for you.

Personally I would but we are travelling with people who could struggle with the walk back to the A gates.

We were lucky we got some seats together but the lounges are fairly busy due to fog delaying and cancelling quite a few flights.

Shoes on or off?

I would wake them if these were the only seats.

It’s an airport lounge, so yes, of course it’s acceptable. BA provide sleep pods for this purpose in the CCR and GF - but in GC there’s nothing but the chairs.

I don't think it is acceptable if the lounge is busy and the chairs are needed.

I think it’s acceptable (shoes off) if there are enough available seats, if not they should be asked to move.

Similar to those who seem to think that other seats are there for them to dump their bags on.

Only action conduct that grosses me out is shoes and socks on tables where folks put their food and drinks. As always, one cannot buy class. You either get it or not and money obscures the difference between the two.

Some with shoes off and others with shoes on.

We should have been on our way but our flight was cancelled and now having to wait until after 5pm now. Could have been worse and not have lounge access. Queues for customer service quite long around T5

That is meanness in the extreme. Do you know what type of crazy itinerary they have just flown? Is it more important for you to relax with a drink than to let them sleep? I can tell you that I would NEVER dream of waking someone sleeping in the lounge, even if it meant I would need to drink my precious whisky and eat my peanuts whilst standing.

its fine... im sure the sleepers would rather be somewhere else.. who knows what connections/cancellations they have had, besides if you did wake them would you really want to sit next to them on that 3 seater?

And what if they had slept all night and were just selfish individuals who only cared for their own wellbeing?

I never remember this being an issue in T5 GF, but recently I'm finding it harder and harder to find somewhere to sit that a Louis Vuitton bag hasn't already taken.
