Leeds Bradford has group boarding
Group 1 have been sent down a different route. Gate 3. How exciting
are any more outposts without group boarding remaining?
Please merge with group thread if desired, I couldn’t find it through a mobile search

also I am surprised at this group boarding, normally doesn’t happen at LBA. With the previous lounge they had a system where they announced the gate a few minutes before it was announced in the general terminal area to allow J and status passengers to scurry along first. With the new lounges they don’t seem to do that anymore.

It must be new as there was a big fuss. I have been down 5 times in last 2 weeks and this is the only time.
Gate 3, they sent everyone except group 1 down the usual lane next to the window but sent group 1 down the inside lane.
Then they boarded the non priority lane. Then they couldn't wedge the priority door open and so it had to be held.
No signs though but definitely seemed to be a thing!

Sadly I have to report that it was the usual setup tonight on BA1345 through gate 4 with no priority boarding. The gate wasn't announced until 20 minutes to departure so people were getting a little anxious and it was a literal scrum when boarding commenced, only for us to all then stand on the jet bridge for a further 5 minutes.

I had the “long distance” bus trip on the 17th due to airbridge repairs so obviously still problems. Always glad to get a flight to/from LBA that isn’t cancelled. New broom cupboard lounge is nothing to write home about though.

I just find it s bit stark and “functional” compared to the old area. The White Rose suite has the ambiance of a works canteen. It is fine for a short stay, but I had recently a two hour flight delay, and there is only so many bacon rolls you can eat.
