CX and KA redemption

Is CX and KA considered one airline when redeeming BA miles? (i.e. JFK-HKG-PEK).

Yes I think they are. KA is wholly owned by CX and IME BA Miles and TPs post promptly on KA flights. Their FFP got merged into Marco Polo so they ought to be fully integrated in OW. Their Business class puts CE to shame.

Not very hard to do
CW, OTOH, is a much more enjoyable experience.

KA (Dragon Air) on the whole only fly local and regional services so the comparison which they, and CX, offer in business on these flights is against CE. What they provide in terms of on-board service on these relatively short flights is a different world. I know, different part of the world, different market, etc etc...

Yes. I recently booked PEK/HKG/JNB on KA/CX and it was priced as one partner.

Of course BAEC's ability to see availability on CX and KA is another matter entirely.
