GRU arrival / short stay in Brazil

I will be arriving into GRU on UA and connecting on Azul to POA, next week. Will only be in Brazil a total of ~36 hours (arrive Weds AM, depart Thurs PM) as the trip is to escort a disabled family member back to the US (long story). I'm hoping/assuming that such a short stay would not cause any immigration questions, not sure if anyone has experience or can advise?

It looks like we'll arrive Terminal 3 and depart Terminal 1. Any tips or tricks welcome (I didn't see a GRU airport sticky).

Thank you!

Will have the same immigration questions as the US does. Don't foget the visa: https://www.gov.br/mre/pt-br/consula...or-visa-e-visa
Yes, all international flights arrives at T3 and there is a shuttle between the T3 and T1 between 04:00 am until midnight every 15 minutes. You can pick up the shuttle in the 3rd lane in the arrival area.
The official GRU website is https://www.gru.com.br/en

I had over a dozen short-term stays in Brazil where I flew into GRU (on AA) and departed again the next day or sometimes even the same evening.
Never any immigration issues, just a ton of passport stamps (my passport allows visa-free travel to Brazil, though). In case of flight delays we could leave the terminal again several times and were escorted back through immigration so the dog could go outside again - no trouble at all (try that in the US...)
I always walked between T3 and T1 (traveling with a dog). The shuttle buses tend to be very full during peak hours.
Here's the relevant secion of the GRU website: https://www.gru.com.br/en/passenger/...rport/transfer

This is super helpful, Bhomburg, thank you!! I'll definitely look into walking between T3 and T1, not a fan of shuttles and good to stretch the legs.

I think the terminals were re-numbered some time ago, with International (United, etc) being Terminal 1, and Azul, (the "bussed-to" terminal), being Terminal 3. Latam and Gol domestic are Terminal 2. Someone more knowledgeable, please correct me if I'm in error.

The international terminal is Terminal 3 and part of Terminal 2. Azul uses Terminal 1 except for their few international flights where they use the international part of Terminal 2.
