Hi everyone! We have a company meeting coming up in Brazil and there are some folks flying in from the US. Everyone is vaccinated, but while looking at the entry requirements I noticed that Traveldoc says that the vaccination certificate must have a QR code on it. A lot of our US folks have the CDC vaccination cards and these don't have QR codes on them.

Does anyone have first-hand experience on whether this information is accurate or not?

The QR-code info is wrong, CDC vaccination card will suffice.

Yes, I flew to rio last week with just my cdc card and proof of a negative antigen test within 24 hours and had no problem.

I recently came from the US and while the airline checked for the vaccination, it seemed they were more interested that the name matched. The Timatic site does not say anything about a QR code, only that the vaccination certificate shows that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish. This was also checked on arrival, again, that name matched. In neither case was anything used to read a QR code. Also remember that the Brazilian health statement needs to be done.
