GRU T1 to T3

How long of a walk from T1 exit (arriving Gol domestic) to United Airlines check-in in T3 (upstairs)? Bags will be transferred but we still need to go to UA to check-in for the flight to Newark.

Have gone from T1 to T2 (Delta) before, but this is our first time using T3. .

Hi SoCal, It will take roughly 15 minutes once you exit the T1 bagage claim, depending on how crowded the terminals are and how many people you need to dodge. There are also movable walkways betwen T2 and T3 to speed things up a bit.

Word of caution, a few months ago when the wife and daughter came on a domestic Gol flight, one checked bag was transferred to United, the other appeared on the Gol baggage belt, even though it was tagged all the way. We were not sure if Gol would automatically transfer the bags, so good thing they hung out at the baggage claim area for a while, else the one bag may not have shown up at the final destination.

Thanks. How bizarre. We've made such transfers in the past and have never had a bag not get transferred. Sounds like the ground crew at GRU messed up. We will be vigilant.
