AF/KL reducing number of code shared flights with GOL??
I'm in the process of booking flights to Brazil for the last quarter of 2013, and I realized that there seem to be a very limited number of AF or KL coded flights from GRU and GIG to other destinations in the country. You can find various GOL flights, but they're all G3 coded (and of course there are still JJ operated connections).
Does anybody know what happend, are AF/KL going somewhat backwards with GOL?
Main issue being that a G3 coded flight will not grant segments / qualifying miles.

Are you sure there's a problem? Look at http://www.airfrance.us/US/en/common...partenaire.htm and click on "Gol." You are a Flying Blue member? Looks like you'd earn miles but I'd phone AF or KL to confirm this. G3 is, of course, the code for Gol and JJ the code for TAM. Are the flights you're considering just those connecting to/from an international flight? Gol isn't in the Skyteam Alliance but just a code share partner of these airlines, Delta and others. TAM is currently in the Star Alliance but will move to Oneworld next year.

And yes, being most of the time on AF or KL I'm talking FB here.

Still having no clue what's happening. If you check out KL and AF website or reservation desk, from Nov. onwards you wont' be able to book any codeshare connection through GIG or GRU towards one of the 23 destinations that GOL was operating since summer 2009. On top of that, they seem to be ramping down the G3's in favour of JJ (TAM). I'm not aware of any formal communication about this change and it appears strange to me that AF/KL seems to prefer a non-Skyteam partner rather than a neutral one, who is even an official Flying Blue partner. AF/KL reservation staff says they don't know any details. Hoping to find somebody with more insight...
