Hotel Chains
Which chains have the most hotels in Brazil? I'm planning on hitting the world cup and want to gather hotel points to save some money. I'm willing to get a credit card with an annual fee if it means no blackout dates.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Golden Tulip, Accor, Priority Club ...
You should probably have a look at each of the cities in the corresponding chain's site... I don't think there is a single chain that covers all cities, but if you miss one or two cities, you can find what you are looking for. Many of PC's hotels changed to Golden Tulips in the last years, otherwise I'd say PC had the best coverage.
And welcome to Flyertalk!
After a check, it's Golden Tulip. Missing probably just Manaus (there are Accors and a Holiday Inn in Manaus though). It's hard to be 100% sure, as new hotels are being built. I know Golden Tulips and a Holiday Inn are being built in Belo Horizonte, as I live there.

OP wants to gather hotel points, not a "genuine" brazilian experience. Besides, most pousadas lack some features for the business traveler, be them amenities or adequate localization; so, perhaps not really an alternative here.

Is there any decent hotel aggregator website in Brazil yet?
I know some US options like hotels.com have local sites, but they were pretty crappy with very few rooms last time I checked. Friends in Rio told me I'd be better off going to each hotel or chain's website to look for availability. But that's a PITA.
