Hotel or Bed and Breakfast in Rio

I need some advice on where to stay in Rio.... I will be traveling with husband and adult daughter for 5 nights in mid May. Many of the hotels do not take 3 people. I have been intrigued by some of the bed and breakfasts with good reviews on trip advisor but I am not sure if they are in good areas, which after reading many posts seems to be very important in Rio.

I would appreciate any and all advice - specific hotel names or B & B names would really help. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed at the top rated B&B on TripAdvisor (Casa Beleza) on our honeymoon. I'd say it certainly deserves its place at the top of the rankings. Santa Teresa is a great neighborhood, though if you'll be spending most of your time at the beach then it probably won't work, although we didn't have much trouble going to Jardim, Leblon etc. by bus. The bonde takes you into Lapa (for clubs) and Centro, and it's fun! Anyway, I think the barrage of 5 star reviews for Casa Beleza are well justified.

Thank you. We probably will not spend a great deal of time at the beach and would like to visit the main attractions on our first visit. I actually am looking at the Casa Beleza but they are currently away and not taking reservations until next week.

Our main concern is being in a safe, easy to get around area.

If you don't get the one you want we can scout around for others. There are lots of options, depending on your personal preferences they do change a lot.

I really think you should try Leblon Spot. It's a design hostel. You could take a suite for you and your husband, while your daughter stays in a normal room with multiple beds. You could also ask if they have rollaway beds or floor mattresses for all three of you to stay in the same room.
