Sao Paulo Music Venues
Good Day,
I have an upcoming trip to Sao Paulo, and would love to find a nice bar/lounge where Brazilian Popular Music (e.g., Bossa Nova) is played. Ideal would be a singer with trio scenario. We'll be staying in Paulista/Jardins.

Bossa Nova is more likely to be found in places where foreigners go, such as hotel bars/lounges. It's not a style that locals still particularly enjoy, unless it's an actual concert with people like Joao Gilberto, for example.
If you can read a little Portuguese, I'd suggest that, as soon as you get there, buy a Veja magazine and look for its "child" magazine inside Veja Sao Paulo. It's widely used by locals as a guide for restaurants, bars and all cultural events.

Baretto @ the Hotel Fasano might fit your criteria. There is live Bossa Nova shows regularly.
I also like a place called "The View" (http://theviewbar.com.br/en/) on the top of Transamerica International Plaza Flat (Alameda Santos, 981). There is live music, but not always Bossa Nova. Worth a visit even if it is only to check the amazing São Paulo view.
