When do I get ticketed for TK???

Ok, so i have booked a TK LHR-IST rtn in J . I have my PNR and have looked on CMT and this gives me my TK booking number. As soon as i try to look on the TK website it doesnt recognise either of the booking numbers!

My main question is how will my ticket arrive (electronic/paper) and will i be able to check in online??

Any help appreciated.

thanks B

It should ticket in 2-3 days, keep checking CMT for a ticket number. BMI is rarely in a hurry with these things!

Your ticket will not 'arrive'. In theory, you should have had an e-mailed e-ticket receipt from BMI within seconds of putting down the phone to the call centre. In practice, you only get them 50% of the time. You don't really need it anyway - just print off the checkmytrip details.

Unless something has changed recently, the TK website does not allow you to check bookings made on other website/through TA's.

You should still be allowed to do online check-in. BD likes likes to play the anxiety game on people, just check again.

I also redeemed my miles for a TK award ticket. Even after I got the TK confirmation numbers and ticket numbers, I still could not check my bookings on TK web site. So I called TK toll free number to assign my seat. You can skype +18008748875.

Same here, BD redemption booking does not show on the TK site. Stick to CMT.

Note that TK will normally not assign seats until around 90 days before travel.

Check that CMT shows "London-London"...

The last 3 bookings I've made on this exact route, they've only ticketed the outward flight (showing London-Istanbul on CMT) and I've had to phone back and speak to a supervisor...

Word of warning for anyone who has booked TK J on the 77W ex. IST, particularly the 08:00 departure. The Business Class checkin queue was impressively long before 07:00 yesterday. I'd say well over 100 people queuing, and lots of gobsmacked, worried looking passengers constantly joining the back, for 6 or 7 desks. I mentioned it to my First Class concierge and she said that's normal. A few trying to access the F desk were politely given 'the Turkish finger'. So don't arrive too late!

I can think of plenty of airlines who can only dream of J checkin queues like that these days.
