miles on TK flight operated by JET?
Hi all,
I was just about to book the following flight:
11:25 London, United Kingdom - Heathrow, terminal 3
Arrival: 17:20 Istanbul, Turkey - Ataturk, terminal I
Airline: Turkish Airlines TK1980
and noticed that it is actually operated by Jet airlines. Will this earn miles as it has a TK flight number?
Thanks :-:

As mentioned above, you will be fine (as long as you are crediting a mileage earning fare class). It is a wet lease so it is treated just as if TK were operating it themselves.

After 4 such sectors I can confirm 100%* you get proper TK-level miles per the BD earning chart. These are TK flights on a wet lease rather than a codeshare operated by a non-Star carrier so no problems.
* well, 50%...100% if and when the stupid new system "upgrade" posts my return legs .

Is there any way to see what class one of these TK flights is booking into on the TK site? I don't see it. Some of these itineraries simply will not pull up on ITA, and so I'm not sure whether they earn 25% or 50%.

On the TK site you need to go as far as possible without actually putting in a credit card - so make a booking with your details, etc. and keep clicking on until you're asked to pay. Right on the final screen (before parting with cash) it lists the fare class on each leg. Doing this I was able to verify each leg of my trip booked in J for x2 miles on BD.
