What's wrong with AC? They are by far my favourite airline - much better than BA. I have always had great service from great crews, everywhere from transatlantic to remote airports in northern BC only able to take Dash-7s.

BMI could learn a lot from AC.

Without going too OT, I'll willingly fly AC, but of my last 4 longhaul UK-CAN-UK flights, no IFE on 3 of them due to broken systems, dirty planes, broken seats etc. Last flight was a good 18 months ago though, so it may well have improved a bit since then. Crew (as with bmi l/h) were consistently good though.

Boldings are mine. The dates don't really match up with the range specified

That because the status upgrade reset the year.

....and *A from Australia transpacific, OP could have chosen UA on a 744 with no seatback IFE whatsoever, instead of AC.

Oh yeah, that's a given. I've also suffered the curse of UA with broken IFE and broken seats on l/h flights too.

My parents refused to set foot in the USA*, so UA was always out of the question. As we know, the US is not a sensible place to make a transit, as you have to enter anyway.

Their RTW consisted of LX (LHR-ZRH-DXB),
SQ (DXB-SIN//SIN-KUL//KUL-SIN-PER
NZ (PER-AKL//AKL-SYD), and
AC (SYD-YVR//YVR-YYZ//YYZ-YUL//YUL-LHR)

Their ratings were SQ>LX>NZ>AC.

I suppose they ought to make a flight on BD to keep on the right side of the karmic forces.

* and I used to live near LAX!

Yes, this is a known problem - if you have two flights on one day (or by the look of what you have posted, if you have two flights credited on one day) where a status threashold is crossed, the first flight's status miles get flagged and adjusted (probably manually?) but the second one seems to get lost.

In my case, I took a flight on the 25th April which took me over the threshold. I then took lots (16 or so) of flights from the 26th onwards.

When the flight from the 25th posted (on the 30th), I got the adjustment and the change in level. After this, the rest of my flights posted (with dates between the 25th and 30th) but i didn't get status miles for them (all 16).

So, I think the rule is that any flights taken between the date of the one which takes you over the threshold and the date of the mileage adjustement are ignored. It's a little more obvious in my case because I've been travelling with partner airlines and they take a while to post.
