Not sorted is now the answer! As the flights are linked/married through to a final destination it's impossible for them to change the first leg. Don't understand it but looks like I'll have to live with it unless anyone else has any ideas.

You're out of luck. MSC (Married-Segment Control) is a very closely watched issue with LH (and QR), and they go ballistics when any outside agent tries to go around the MSC logic.

I have an example today that might be illustrative of this (or it just could be they have crappy systems).

This is a bit generic: I want to know the best way to check for LX availability. I did several searches (honest!) and am still not sure I understand it. Am I correct in understanding:
- M&M shows availability for their FF program only and is no indication of what is available to DC members. - Ditto for EF. - ANA shows availability when it applies to partners like DC and is the best source for this. This will usually be closer to the date of the flight. (I am looking for next April.) I did see reference to the ICC finding availability when none was showing on ANA. Is this at all common? TIA :) |
bd 5033 vs
i can see i class award seats on ef bd5033 lhr-lax this is a vs flight
are you able to book this as miles+cash with bd |
No, you can't book a VS flight under a BD codeshare and get away with C&M.
You'll pay full VS partner miles for that, and have to book it as a return |
I presume booking BD codeshare flights on non-DC partners [like KM] is not possible at all? :)

And, being a KVS Tool member, you can easily access both 'sets' of award/upgrade availability using the [Awards/M&M] & [Awards/StarAlliance] Methods respectively. |
