Hello,

Just wondering if someone would be so kind to check and confirm dates of availability for a seat in LH/AC business class (one way) for the following two possibilities between the period 12 June to 26 June:

1. DUB-FRA-MEX

2. LHR-YYZ-MEX

Any assistance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help with the searches, but just to warn you, if you book one-ways to and from MEX, you'll be hit with massive Mexican taxes on the one way ticket departing MEX (whatever you might have planned) - in this instance, it makes more sense to book a return from DUB.

Options on LH will always have a YQ (fuel surcharge) that cause nose bleeds.

Ok, time to ask for some help, because i'm at a loss.

I'm looking for a one way C+M redemption for 2 people. Ultimately from MAN-LAS, on the 26th or 27th december '10, in business. Looking to save on APD, and hopefully YQ charges, and as such am willing to do no-frills to europe as the first leg.

Anything within the US, Y is fine, save being charged for a 1st redemption.

I can find nowt!

Any suggestions?

ANA says... On LH you can have 16,17,18,22,23. Nothing on AC as usual.

Im still after a LHR-LAS in October in J (or F) and finding very little out there availability wise in ANA.

Can someone please advise me on if I've left things to late to book?

Although Even if I look at April 2011, I can still see availability, is TATL traditionally hard to get. I have not made a DC redemption before!

I've also been looking for UK-USA flights in Nov, and have noticed that TATL award availability in C and F is way down on the same time last year : espacially with UA, which is normally the easiest to get seats to somewhere like LAS. I think the 777 refit programme and the upcoming UA/CO merger are contributing to the award seat shortage.

There was definitely loads previously on both UA and also LX, there seems to be all but nothing now though, which is a bit of a worry.

EF shows availability on UA for First - Standard Award and Business - Standard Award , I'm guessing these are unavailable to book via the DC if they're not showing on ANA?

I think we may have to cancel our trip. My DC mileage pot is begining to look a lot less shiny :(


Interestingly BA TATL availability is way down on what it used to be too (no where near this bad though), I wonder what it can be

Can I assume from this handy chart that any LX O or I availability I can see, is available to book with DC miles?


Re- UA availability is it traditionally this bad? I can't seem to find anything but these double miles awards to UA MP members.

That would depend on where you are seeing it -- there are 2 'sets' of LX award availability: One for M&M members and one for partner (incl. BD DC) redemptions. One of the exclusive KVS Tool features is that it allows you to easily access both sets of availability.

KVS since you have specific knowledge in this very special area, we have noticed something recently - ANA reports LH seats which are unavailable to DC members; after three days, they suddenly become bookable.

Is ANA reporting the M&M availability on LH?
