Funtastic, I'm in Copenhagen connecting via LHR to Dublin right now, I hope to be on the BD135.

I really don't want to be stranded in LHR over night but neither SAS nor BMI is willing to help in any other way than saying, go to London, if we cancel we will put you on the next flight.

I hate travel.

It would look as though this is continuing.
Delays to Dublin Arrivals and Departures continues, but flights that would have otherwise flown over that part of the airspace (but that weren't landing or taking off at Dublin) are now operating.

Well I'm in the DC Lounge now and take a chance.

The ticket desk told me that the best they could do would be tommorrow evening at 1945 and that the other flights got canceled about 30 minutes before depature.

So I'm going to wait it out because even a slim chance to get home is better than a full day in London.

If I make it - thanks, if not than a full day in London and the ticket desk told me because this is out of their controll they won't pay a hotel either.

Wouldn't this be an occasion for enacting your travel insurance?

Just spoke to a very stressed friend in DUB ops - and it's bad... very bad. He reckons you have precisely no chance of getting in tonight on BD135. Sorry.

Thanks GoldCircle, funny enough however the DAA website show us as delayed until 0015 and just now BMI announced that we will go but with a delay of 25 minutes.

It would be shame if they now cancel after they gave us hope.

jbfield, yes a travel insurance would kick in and its a business trip so I'm covered , I just would like to sleep in my own bad once in a while.

As long as you don't end up in BFS or BHD as six EI flights and four FR flights have so far this evening.

All departed late from their origins having been given the all clear from DUB to 'come on over' but in mid flight..........

Good Luck !

Seems sven60035 was one of the lucky ones, BD135 arrived in DUB only 23 minutes late !

Of all the flights not cancelled, I'm glad I wasn't on the IB 18:25 to MAD this evening, it finally left at 00:43

Safe and Sound we arrived 23 minutes late as FlyingOnceMore pointed out.

The plane was full and while boarding they told us, either we board very fast or we don't go at all.

Until I saw the familiar lights of Dublin I also feared we might end up in BFS and get a bus than.

I must however say that on this particular flight the crew was one of the best I had in a while. I was in C (thanks boss) and the supervisor (from Glasgow not on her usual route) did the good old service from drinks over dinner to addressing each passenger with name all the time.

Let's hope they find the problem with the radar and this gets back to normal.

Not to sound skeptical, but I'd hesitate to think that Thales can fix a problem in any kind of reasonable timeframe.

AC has been trying to get Thales to fix the problem with their new IFE bordering on a year now. The entire system crashes..... less, now. It's still far from reliable.

Seems as though the problems are continuing, but obviously it's not been sprung on the aircraft operators with as much surprise as yesterday.
