ITA, as near as I can replicate the itinerary, says circa Ł360, so if the budget is Ł400 it's not going to be too far off. ^

budget will be cost of Y tickets (Ł575) so plenty of scope there.

and if you can persuade your boss to pay for the £140 each way for a cash & miles in F, you can go and edit the thread title too. ^

Yep, if the taxes are £360-400, add cash of £280, and the total is £640-680.

So if you can get the boss to stump up an extra £65-105 max. on to the £575 Y fare budget, you'd save 40,000 miles.

It may have changed, again, but IIRC the latest is; you have to walk over there yourself coming off LH F, transferring to LH C, i.e no limo to meet you at the gate on arrival.

Correct Oxon Flyer ?
Correct, unless you are LH HON. As per the FCT FAQ

And if the boss won't agree to that, just pay the extra out of pocket. It would be like buying 40K miles for 60-100GBP.

Unbeatable ! ^

Except if you put a misconnect into your itinerary from the start on, thst nearly forces UA (after they are late as usual) to rebook you into F on the next connection, which earns you again 300% miles on an original award ticket
