Stopover question

Hi,

Can I book a flight with BMI miles on the following route?

SFO-MIA..IAD-FRA

So it would be a "stopover" in MIA but continue the flight from IAD.

Should be fine according to rule 7 of Diamond Club

7 Open-jaw Awards are permitted only within the same zone. By this we mean that it is possible to depart from a different destination than the one you arrived into, providing that the arrival and departure destinations are within the same zone.

This is not an open-jaw, but a surface sector. Not sure if those are allowed. The rules don't even seem to mention them.

Last year we booked MAN-FRA-DTW surface ORD-PHX-LAS as a one way award without any problems, so looks as though it should be possible.

Wow, if I worked for BMI I would never ever allow that routing. Takes the 'most direct routing' to a completely new level
