Help with redemption

Hi I'm wondering if any on can help me? sadly in August my mother suddenly passed away, she had accumulated over 50,000 miles which she was intending using to go to Australia using the miles and cash option. Does anyone know if Diamond club would let me use the miles.
Thanks in advance Robert.

Firstly Robbie, welcome to FT, and im very sorry to hear about your mother.

Im not sure if they would let you use the miles in her account. But you could get another female to ring up, and give your mothers details, and make the booking that way.

I have often got my sister to ring up and 'pretend' to be my mother. Its simply because my mother wouldnt know how to request the routing etc. and the call centre staff are less than helpful so she would just get confused.

Thanks for the quick reply I will write to diamond club and see what happens, also as a side note we traveled with bmi to Jersey in July and mum required assistance to board the plane and the bmi staff where extremely helpful and went out of their way to help.
Thanks again Robert Stevenson.

Robert, just in case you don't know, 'diamond club' is Joanna, an official representative of the DC programme. From past experience, you can rest assured, she will sort things out.
