Request Available?

What does "request available" mean on the ANA tool for reward bookings? This is the little triangle sign.

Are the BMI desk able to request rewards on these flights?

Which airline is it in relation too?

This happens from time to time when the system breaks down. I dont actually think you can request flights.

It happened a while back for all NZ flights, but was fixed within a few weeks. Also happened for LH not so long ago either, but was fixed within 24 hourrs.

It's happening for all flights WAW-SFO on 30th July and earlier. LH and UA. Also all flights WAW-YYZ on 31st July and earlier.

Is there like a 7 working day limit for requesting reward flights if not yet sold or something?

I am now getting this for all UA/NZ flights - a real pain as I wanted to changed some award bookings today.

Was fine last night.

I was just wondering what was going on too as I needed to make some award bookings. It seems to work fine for SK travel but not for UA, so I had to use UAL.com to figure out what UA had available for award seats.

Ok, it just stopped. Temporary glitch I guess.

A shame though, I was hoping it meant that availability had opened up "on request" :-)

When I called up BD to make award bookings, the BD rep told me that all requests for my route on UA to/from ORD were not being processed and I should call back later because there's some kind of technical problem.

I just hope my desired award seats don't get eaten up in the wait time for the technical issues to work themselves out.
