Yes.. I found ONE first class award seat from LAX-NRT about three days before departure. I grabbed it and the flight itself was fantastic.. By all means, try and get ANA first class . It is well worth it....

A single seat was commonly available on the NRT-LHR route earlier this year, i'd scouted out several potential trips to Japan which had them. Unfortunately it's mostly a 777 these days rather than a 747 which means fewer seats and, seemingly, no rewards.

How far out are the F seats usually available, or is it likely to be last minute? Have tried this myself for next April and can't find anything in F on any airline. The best I have been able to see is two J seats on SQ via SIN. Not exactly a hardship but I would have liked to try ANA F

I have had real difficulty in locating First seats on LH, NH or SG (the latter is understandable). In fact, for difficulty read impossibility. No problems with TG, but nothing for the "nicer" airlines.
Have tried a load of dates from now through to T+330. No joy...

The 747 is now alternating with the 777.
