VS delayed, help

I posted this in the VS forum, but that board seems to be dead as a door nail, so hoping some of you here can help me out...

Ive just noticed from vs flight update that my flight tomorrow from DXB to LHR is going to be delayed by 1 hour. This will leave me with only 45 min connection in LHR to EI flight to DUB (T3-T1 will be tight, but do-able if i run). My question is, will vs in DXB check me in, or my bags through to DUB even though my EI flight is a seperate booking?

Secondly, ive checked in online... Do i still need to be at the airport 60 mins before scheduled departure, or can i arrive 60 mins before the delayed departure time?

This is a tricky one. Firstly, I have to symphathise with the short connection and having to change terminals! It really is a nightmare, especially lugging baggage around with you whilst running underground between terminals when connections are shut :@ (thats what happened to me)

I wouldnt be too confident about VS checking through your baggage, especially with it being EI, however, I could well be wrong. In terms of delayed departure from DXB, have you checked if the VS flight exLHR leaves an hour late also?

There's nothing worse than making connections with unalliagned carriers! I've learnt the hard way! I only hope you have a hassle free day; nothing worse than having these worries before ending a trip!

One of the reasons you may find the VS forum "dead" is that a lot of the traffic has moved to a dedicated site - v-flyer.com Might be worth posting the question there

I truly sympathize with your condition but I dont think VS or anyairline would check your bags right through if the sectors are not on one tkt no:.I would advise you to be there at the apt atleast an hour and a half before departure even though u'v checked in online ...that way you are on a safer side ^
