Please report your successful redemptions using Diamond Club miles (2006/07)
Based on the useful suggestion in one of Man Pax post's in a recent thread, it seems quite relevant to start a thread listing routings that have been succesfully redeemed using DC miles. It might give an idea to see whether there are any hidden restrictions in routings/sectors available with DC.
Let me start off with my last 3 redemptions with DC miles:
Route:LHR-FRA/x-DEL // BLR-FRA/x-LHR
Class: F
Airline: LH
Type: Cash&Miles
Booking Time: 2 months before departure
Route: LHR-FRA/x-PEK // BKK-LHR
Class: F
Airline: LH & TG
Type: Cash&Miles
Booking Time: 4 months before departure
Route: LHR-BKK-SYD // MEL-SIN-FRA/x-LHR
Class: F
Airline: TG, SQ and LH
Type: Cash&Miles
Booking Time: 4 months before departure

Route - one way Hong Kong - Singapore - Christchurch
Class - Can't remember but was Business
Airline - SQ
Type - Miles
Booking time - 7 months before departure
Have also redeemed BMi miles on VS, LH and TG but too long ago for me to remember the details I'm afraid (so probably not relevant now).

MAN-MEX LH C, 2 months in advance (cash & miles)
LHR-LAX NZ C, 1 months in advance (cash & miles)
Absolutely no chance of getting the LAX seats again in June sadly (are they restricting redemptions because of the World Cup?), whatever the routing.

No availabilty on line but called and had a rant about how bad BD were and couldn't they reconsider for a gold card holder. They called invetory management who kindly released two seats.

DUB-FRA-KLU // KLU-FRA-DUB
Class: X
Airline: LH/OS
Type: Miles
Booking Time: Jan 06 for Mar 06 departure
Two adults + infant
Tried for Saturday or Sunday departures, got Saturdays.
No problems - spoke to DC in the UK about it.
Aidan
PS Never any real trouble redeeming on DUB-FRA with LH, except that I have to call every time.

Excellent thread...
It would be useful to know the time when the booking was made - all my previous encounters were fine - the problem seems to be bookings since the Modular Monster appeared.
Updates on the time bookings were made as well as the travel dates (to a month, for privacy) would be appreciated.
For the record, I've travelled in the Business to ORD then to LAX, also to LAX on NZ in F. Both booked a couple (and more) years ago.

LHR-LAX
F on UA, Miles plus Cash
Booked 5 weeks out, Autumn 2005
Weekend in NY, would have preferred flying on the Thursday but not available.
Reasonably straightforward call; CSR seemed to know what's what.

LHR - AKL with stopover in LAX
Class: X
Airline: UA/AirNZ - couldn't get AirNZ the whole way, so got Economy+ on UA. Needed to call UA to get Economy+ reservation. Wasn't a problem (currently DC Silver)
Type: Cash & Miles
Booked: Sept,05, changed 2x until I could get the precise dates I needed. I was advised to keep ringing until seats came up - not guaranteed they would, but the situation was fluid
Travel: December 05
