Over To The DC Experts!

I have posted this over on the LH forum and am now more confused than ever, despite the contributor's best efforts!

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...85#post4558285

Can anyone here clarify?

Thanks!

not sure why this is posted here, unless you are hoping that someone has been on that flight. I would think the *A forum would be a better place to cross post this question.

(I thought flamboyant 1 answered the question, I dont follow what the confusion is)

the confusion is;

LH said - old c (or maybe not)
LH website says - "until 29.10.2005"
christopherM said - not sure

flamboyant1 said - new c
shortfinals said - new c

maybe better on the *A forum as you suggest, but I put it here as my experience previously had witnessed a general felxibility and willingness to help on this board. Couple this with many DC-ers using rewards/miles-plus cash on *A (LH figuring prominently on rewards too) and I thought well, why not? I stand corrected.

Sorry, didnt mean to cause offense, I can see why my reply may have been taken as gruff.

I follow the confusion now. TBH, I would probably listen to flamboyant1 as he appears to know what he is talking about. Yes, people are wrong sometimes but I guess it will be a case of wait and see

Sounds like LH dont really know.

Thanks for the feedback ^ yes, I was a bit taken aback
Any way no probs.
Seems the new seats' reliability is the driver as to the config of aircraft they deploy - am calling DC regularly to see if those SQ seats appear tho - TG is avail but allegedly there's no chance of new C on them

regular service is with a 747 new business class to SIN !
You see this 16/80/234 seat is the new version.
The old one is 16/78/274 or 16/64/310.
But LH does not guarantee the new aircraft, and sometimes they change it due to demand in a higher need in Y seats.
By the way the new business class seats are very delicate. This is a problem if you have a busy route like MUC-BKK, where they use the A343 C/44 Y/222 version. Often C class fully booked ( only 44 seats ) and some seats are not working. This plane has no F class so that you have to stick on what you get. I sugest to prove the seat bevore take off, so that you can complain as long you are on the ground! Otherwise you can sit upright during a 11h. nightflight. Iam on 4 of this flights Sep./Oct./Dec./Jan. myselve and hope to be lucky.

yep, the new seat seems to be "trouble" alright! Flew to AUH on new C recently - crew had to re-set the thing twice!
Be lucky on yr flts - let us know how it goes!
