My first question on the BMI board so bear with me. I have read through the Tiny fare threads etc and I am booking the following - LHR to BHD several trips in August. So I obviously want to collect status miles and to do this I have looked at fares through the Lufthansa website. The result is I come up with the following.......
Route
London - Heathrow (LHR) > Belfast City (BHD) > London - Heathrow (LHR)
Flight Date Dep Arr Class
LH6596 (1) Tue, Aug. 2, 2005 06:55 LHR 08:10 BHD Economy Class Best Buy
Booking class: W
(1) This flight will be operated by a partner airline. (bmi)
LH6691 (2) Tue, Aug. 2, 2005 15:25 BHD 16:40 LHR Economy Class Best Buy
Booking class: V
(2) This flight will be operated by a partner airline. (bmi)
etix - easy take off without ticket
Airfare Taxes & Fees
Price per adult 52.00 48.60
Total (etix)
1 adult
100.60
As far as my knowledge goes I will therefore get 2 x 500miles into my AP account?
Sorry to ask what may be a simple question but with the fare changes etc plus the fact I would be flying BD booked through LH with my FF acount in AP/AC???

Welcome to the BMI forum
Fair question, but really one for the Air Canada forum since the miles you earn are determined by Aeroplan. The tiny fares debacle currently affects only Diamond Club members, although this may change in due course. Meantime I'm sure an AC regular could confirm your earning levels...paging YOWkid...
Enjoy your trips to Northern Ireland.

Thanks for the reply. As far as the earning goes I have always received miles on fares all the way down to TWOWBMI (which I think is currently the lowest).
Not seen any news on AP about a change in earning at this point!

T is indeed the cheapest fare sold by BMI.
I presume if BMI is serious about the draconian restrictions planned for "tiny" fares it will lean on other Star Alliance carriers to reduce the earning levels in their own programs in future. But you're safe for now.

As she said they have earned the status so why should the benefit be removed?

Bad enough in there now. The other week I saw a woman resting her bare feet on one of the tables. Obviously her extensive travel hadn't improved her manners.
