Lounge Hours
I thought folks might enjoy this one. Yesterday a.m., I checked in at 5:00 a.m. for my 6:20 LH flight (EDI-FRA) and was invited to go to the lounge to wait. So off I head. Through the doors I could see the person in the lounge, mulling about etc., lights on but the door was locked. I knocked, she motioned for me to leave her alone.
At 5:30 the door opens and low and behold I ask why she did not open at 5:00 as they told me downstairs (drum roll please)...
her response was I open when I am ready, not when they say.
While this is not worth complaining over, I did think it was kind of tacky.

I'll hazard a guess at who that was...
YGM, with the email address of the EDI airport manager for BD/LH, should you wish to bring her behaviour to his attention.
Her response was unacceptable; on the other hand, the check-in agent was also wrong. The lounge doesn't open officially until 5.30am, but it is often open before that if the staff are in early
Did you have a good time in EDI?

Thank you for the email, I will follow-up with the person you indicated later when I get home.
As for EDI, I was only there for 24 hrs, spent most of my time in London and Menstrie last week (family stuff) but did get to enjoy the glorious weather on Saturday. The crowds on Princess St. were unbelievable.
Cheers.
