Were there M&S once upon a time in jp?
</font>
Yes, I used to work for M&S (GB) and a friend went off to expand the franchise over there in about 1996.

I'm sure we frequent flyers can cough up a plastic amenity kit comb or two.

Hairbrushes can and will be administered. Ihave noted the names of everyone that I know posts at the Creme de la Flyertalk, and all those who post here.

Remember, hell hath no fury like a Pucci cheated on.

Gaza, I did warn you. I note Mr Jamison, wingnut, and Golden Eye.

Does our Ole Sweet N'Loveable (yes I saw what you said at Tarom) post here too?

Celby Sweetheart, I love you too! What are you doing over here on Tackyfly. This is not like you!

Sadly, it never opened.....

Still, there are lots of other M&S franchises in Asia if anyone is ever in need of a new pair of undies. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

D'ya know, in the dozens of bento boxes I've received this year, I have NEVER had a Toffee Crisp... It's always Chunky Kit Kats and Dairy Milks. I feel cheated!

I have never had a Dairy Milk, think yourself lucky ! I would complain on my next flight next week, but I am in bloody Y !

Still, gets me away from the chunky Kit Kats...

**** Chunky Kit-Kats http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I filled in my comments card about getting the same meal on both legs. They actually took the trouble to send me a letter back, shame the content was just utter waffle.

Has the chef either:-

a) Got a goldfish like memory?
b) Lack of creativity to come up with a whole range of meals?

Or maybe BD is on the cutback route, where they use reuse meals on the outbound before crackign open the new stock?

Anyway, how's my favourite Scottish people? I see you're making the trip to London in November. Go careful now ajamieson, don't want you booking a ticket again where the taxes cost more than fare http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif And oh yes, I still do have that particular CV....

Thanks,
Richard

Quite.

Pucci you are welcome to a little Diamond Club hospitality on your brief visit here (help yourself to a stem ginger biscuit) but I have to break the news to you that celby has been caught on all sorts of dreadful carriers of late, including the Luftw****. Be afraid.

edi-traveller, loved the tourists story. Like Gaza I'm starting to tire of sharing my postcode with half of north London and parties of sulking Spanish teenagers but revenge (albeit accidental) was sweet this morning. Living on the fourth floor with no building opposite one gets used to the luxury of not having to protect one's modesty of a morning by closing the shutters. Unfortunately the temporary closure of the Royal Mile during the festival leads to a steady stream of diverted open-top tour buses directly underneath the bedroom window and some unlucky visitors to this city got treated to a glimpse of parts of ajamieson that shouldn't really be seen. Bet they haven't eaten since.

kt how ever so glam to be at the Glasshouse (just a designer stone's throw from Chez Jamieson). Did you enjoy the secluded roof garden? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Wingnut Aug 25, 2003 9:10 am

I sneak off for a week's holiday (as part of my festival-shunning programme) and I come back to discover that la Galore has taken advantage of my absence to lose her bmi cherry! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

Welcome, Pucci, although I think you'll find that we're slightly more refined over here than that scrum inyour usual habitat. Hairbrushes won't be necessary, palm trees are merely arboreal beach lining, and the only Americans who venture here are ever so polite and never ask about u******s.

Thank you, aj, I KNOW it was glam!!! Loving that roof garden! (oh, and loving that air conditioning too - did nobody think to install it when they renovated The Scotsman?!) Incidentally, my companion also rather took a shine to room service, but that's another story http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

... Now, I must make a mental note to take an open top bus tour next I'm in EDI for the festival!

You know it's festival time in Edinburgh when...

That time of year again. You go into your local pub for a lunchtime pint and there are three Zulus standing at the bar holding spears AND NOBODY EVEN NOTICES.

And you can't walk anywhere. Or park. Or get a restaurant table. Or get a seat LHR-EDI for less than £200. Bah, tourists ;)

Wingnut Aug 8, 2004 2:16 pm

Come on, ajamieson, a man with your years of experience should know the golden rules:

Trickier, I grant you. Book ahead (I got an LHR-EDI seat during August three weeks out for £30 including taxes...). And in case of emergency, use miles...

Your of you are very very naughty boys - the girls in EDI have been reading this. AJ your gonna have a few problems with denied boarding.
