Only do this if you are going to fly them though. You'll only get a comp once !

How weird. Used to be DC silver and found I was upgraded more often than not if I asked politely. A pleasant approach and a smile often worked wonders - maybe things changed there.
They have also recently offered to match my other airline status, which I'll take up if it looks like I'll be on BD routes again soon.
